“Denny, So sorry to learn of your mother's passing. Where to begin with the memories? Our family's histories go way back -- through church, school and fraternal organizations. Your parents and mine enjoyed each others company on so many occasions. I enjoyed working with Mary through church and our women's group, through Eastern Star and was so fortunate to have her as my 4th grade teacher. Jerry recalls being with your father, Darrell in the Masonic Lodge. On many occasions, you were a frequent visitor of my brother, Mike, in our home in our growing up years. I can only imagine the reunion with your father Darrell and grandmother, Ada, who also was such a wonderful woman. Please accept Jerry and my condolences. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul.

“Denny, You have our sympathy in the loss of your mother. You have been a wonderful son to her. She had a wonderfully long life. I remember my mom telling me that my brother was in the first Kindergarten class your mother taught at Cedar Valley. Our daughter Holly, was in your mom's last class she taught in second grade at Prairie Valley. Your mom was one of Holly's favorite teachers, a part of why Holly loves teaching second grade at Ames Fellows elementary. I always admired and thought of your mom as a classy lady. Your neighbors.”
