“I can picture Max and Elaine together once again as they always were. He will always be in my memory until I see him again. What a life he lived. Never there was a more generous and unforgettable friend and leader. I am sorry I can’t come over to see you as I have a class to teach that day but you will be in my thoughts. If I could ask-Max and I had the same license plate, 2 COR 9, which as you know stood for the Bible verse God loves a Cheerful Giver which he embodied. If he has one laying around I would be so blessed if you would send it so I could display with my Nebraska plate. He was one of a kind. We went through so much together it would be impossible to recount the remarkable times we had. ”
