James P. Good 78, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away Thursday morning, September 7th, 2023. He was born March 13th, 1945 in Fort Dodge to Paul and Ruth (Hepp) Good. In 1968 He married Peggy Kruckenberg in Lytton, Iowa. He attended school in Rockwell City and later served in the army in ‘65-67. Funeral services were held on September, 13, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Moines.  Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Rosehill Cemetery, Rockwell City, with Pastor Denise Berns officiating.  Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Amvets Post #41 of Rockwell City.
     Jim enjoyed fishing, classic cars, camping, word searches and visiting with family. Some of the best memories were made during the ‘garage gatherings’ at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter etc. Jim worked with the Des Moines Public Schools as an operational engineer. Jim was a proud member of several car clubs, including The Rolling Relics of which he was the founding member.
     Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy; his two daughters, Toni (Paul) Dunnwald of Des Moines, and Sue Good (Mike Gross) of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren, Anna, Cora, Beth and Emma Dunnwald, and Parker Knollinger. He is also survived by his brother Tom (Jaye) Good and family; sister-in-law Reona Kruckenberg; and friend Wren Ide. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruth (Hepp) Good.
